Our Trip to AG!

Pippin asked for an American Girl trip for her birthday, so today we popped downtown and made a day of it. We loved looking at all the displays (the Lea displays were my favorite.)

Pippin got a Wellie Wishers doll! She got Camille, and she is really cute. I love the small size and adorable details of the Wellie Wishers collection, and they're really fun if you want younger dolls in your doll family. They're also pretty durable (at least, straight-haired Camille seems to be), and I think they're great first American Girl dolls for the younger set.

Since my birthday is the day before Pippin's, my mom let me pick out something. I got the Mod Monster outfit (which was on sale! Yes!) I've been wanting this outfit for a while, and I love the AG Halloween outfits. I'll do a review if you guys want.

With my own money, I purchased Lea's turtle, which I named Rio. Though overpriced, he is really cute and soft, and will be a fun desk decoration. :)

Have a good weekend!

*beep bang crash*

Okay, so right now I am in a great state of consternation.
Somehow, all the pictures from my two main blogs were deleted.
I'm very frustrated and am trying to reupload some pictures that are still on my computer.
I've tried recovering them, but I think that it was something with Google Photos that messed it up. I literally have no idea how to work Google Photos, Google+, etc.

So if you see like...all my posts gone, that's why.

I guess this is a good oppurtunity for me to start afresh, maybe spruce up the design a bit, and add some things.

ALSO- if any of you are interested in guest posting, I'd be honored to have you! You can post anything you like from crafts to photoshoots to photostories.

Thanks for reading. ;)

I'm Alive...

'Lo there,

No, I have not died nor forgotten about this blog.
But it has been almost a whole month since I last posted.
I know, I'm ashamed.

Here's the thing. The weather has been perfectly beastly recently, very cold and dreary. Not very picture-y weather, I think.
And then when the weather is nice, I didn't really want to take pictures.
That is the great difference between this year and last year. Last year I was quite embarrassed to admit I liked dolls, and I certainly never talked about it to my friends. Now frankly, I'm mortified to even bring my dolls outside, because our neighbors are always outside, and I don't like my family thinking I'm still into the doll blogging thing I got into when I was 12.
I still love my dolls, but I'm haven't really been into playing with them for two years now. I'm not into doll blogs as much as I was last year or the year before that. I've moved on. And that makes sense, because I'm almost fifteen and I've really found what my real passions are, what I do everyday and couldn't imagine my life without-writing and dance.
What I really only like doing is dressing them and doing their hair every once and a while, especially for holidays. Sometimes I play a little with Pippin and the dolls.

So here's the thing.
I am not quitting this blog. But I will not feel forced to post regularly. If people feel like they need to unfollow to clear their blogroll, that's okay.
Whenever I have a bit of inspiration, I'll do a post, or when I do a cute hairstyle, I'll do a post too.
I'm going to keep this blog up to remind me of how I liked to play and pretend, and what really was my favorite thing to play when I was little!

I did take some pictures today of Kit in her cute "chicken feed sack dress" from Happy Birthday Kit.

Signing off for present,

P.S. #flashbackfriday to some of my favorite doll posts ever!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I love thee with a love
that shall not die,
till the sun grows cold
and the stars grow old.

Look How Far We've Come

bittersweet memories touch on your heart
sending palpitations of joy surging up and down your whole body
scolding yourself for all the stupid mistakes you've made
can't believe i did that
delete delete delete
but i don't want to delete
i want to hang on to every last drop of adrenaline that might escape from my heart
before sinking into deep sleep
look how far we've come
look how far we have to go
i want to keep my stupid mistakes locked up inside me shut
i want to hold every single miniscule bit of happiness
close to me
swallow the key
so that it stays with me

I apologize if you already saw this poem on my personal blog, but I thought it fit this photo well. :)

Merry Christmas

The Christ-child lay on Mary's lap,

His hair was like a light.

(O weary, weary were the world,
But here is all alright.)

The Christ-child lay on Mary's breast

His hair was like a star.
(O stern and cunning are the kings,
But here the true hearts are.

The Christ-child lay on Mary's heart,

His hair was like a fire.
(O weary, weary is the world,
But here the world's desire.)

The Christ-child stood on Mary's knee,

His hair was like a crown,
And all the flowers looked up at Him,
And all the stars looked down.

-A Christmas Carol, by G.K. Chesterton
